The seminar “Specializing in bio- and circular economy in the Baltic Sea Region” was the final seminar of BSR Stars S3 project that the Baltic Institute of Finland has been leading for three years.
The event was targeted at regional and local authorities as well as bio- and circular economy researchers and developers in the Baltic Sea Region. It provided an actual overview on bio- and circular economy opportunities and prospects for future cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. The seminar had a special focus on the project outcomes and the following topics: ways to accelerate bio- and circular economy and related business as well as the next steps for BSR macro-regional smart specialization. A study visit to a future smart and circular city district “Hiedanranta” in Tampere was organized for the seminar participants.
