The 15th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR), held on 30th-31st October, 2024, in Visby, Sweden, highlighted Sustainability, Resilience, and Security as essential pillars for the region’s future. This year’s forum gathered 650 participants from 20 countries for important discussions and collaborative activities, aiming to strengthen cooperation within the Baltic Sea Region and beyond.

Key discussions covered the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Baltic Sea Region, the EU’s strategic goals post-2027, and updates to the EUSBSR Action Plan, set to be finalized in 2025. Engagement Day, featuring close to 200 representatives from local authorities, civil society, youth, and business sectors, provided a space for innovative cooperation ideas to be presented and discussed with Policy Area coordinators.

At the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2024, Policy Area Innovation hosted sessions on key topics including sustainable business development, university research collaboration, green city transitions, and digital solutions for a sustainable business environment. PA Innovation coordinators also took part in panel discussions and engaged in insightful conversations with attendees at the Networking Village stand.
