- foreigners lack Finnish language skills
- defining foreigners´competence level difficult
- difficulty to define permits needed for working
- employers´ ignorance of rights and duties in foreigners´recruitment
- prejudice towards foreign employees

 

Actions needed to make foreigners stay:

- development of practical training system in higher education institutes
- development of Finninsh language courses
- more interaction and communication between different actors in the field of education and working life
- web based service for employers and foreign students to support recruitment process
- multicultural education in organisations
- marketing of the regional job opportunities to foreigners 
- marketing of the foreigners´know-how to employers
- development of English recruitment channels
- increase of international atmosphere in the region
- increase of the attractiveness of the region
