Second network meeting 9 April 2008
The second network meeting took place in Saint-Petersburg on 9 April 2008 in the premises of St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, and was chaired by Mr Prokopenko, Head of administration of coordination of the consumer market at Committee on Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, Administration of St. Petersburg. He underlined the importance of the project and stressed that in St. Petersburg there are many problems concerning IPR protection and counterfeit products. Regarding the SME training seminar, he mentioned that Nordic-Russian cooperation and networking is needed due to inadequate competence, knowledge and resources of Russian SMEs. This is an especially acute problem in IPR sensitive business sectors, e.g. ICT, biotechnology, music and film industry.
