eCitizen II Project Achievements
eCitizen II project is expected to result with ambitious achievements benefiting local and regional administrations throughout Europe.
eCitizen II partners are jointly aiming at achieving the following results:
eGovernment development and utilization of good practices of eParticipation is accelerated in European cities and regional administrations.
Good practices on citizen-centred eGovernment and eParticipation tools are transferred between advanced and less experienced project partners and utilized in developing local action plans.
Capacities, knowledge, management skills and understanding of local decision- and policy-makers, officials and experts to develop local eParticipation tools based on the experiences and good practices acquired in European cities and regions will be improved.
Awareness of experiences, knowledge and good practices on eParticipation and futures trends among partner cities and regions and Europe wide will be enhanced.
Interregional cooperation and networking between European cities and regions on eGovernment will be strengthened.
As a key concrete output of the project, a Pan-European Best Practice Manual on eParticipation with recommendations for local and regional administrations is created and published as an online Internet tool.
