Joint seminar and and study visit to Patras, Greece arranged 22-25 November 2010

The eCitizen II joint seminar and study visit was arranged by ADEP S.A. in the Municipality of Patras, Greece 22-25 November 2010.

The two–and a half-day seminar targeted at the project partners to discuss stakeholder engagement as the second subject area related to eGovernment and eParticiaption development in city and regional administrations. Partners in 10 cities and regions prepared local reports and results were jointly discussed and good and not so successful experiences were shared in joint workshops. Local reports will be included in the main project output, the Pan-European Best-Practice Manual on eParticipation with recommendations for local and regional administrations. The Manual layout was introduced and participants were trained to download and comment the content of the Manual which will be launched officially in December 2010.

Representatives of Municipality of Patras, Cities of Patras, Heraklion and Trikala as well as local democracy associations among others introduced local initiatives on citizen inclusion in local decision-making including Digital Cities of Central Greece and information and eServices of Patras Municipality.
