Prague and Jihlava in Czech Republic

Joint seminar and study visit of the eCitizen II project  was arranged by the Vysocina Region 22-24 March 2011. The seminar took place on 22 March in Prague and 23-24 March in Jihlava, Czech Republic.

The seminar focused on the topic of "Organizational requirements and operational culture change". During the the study visit best practices of eParticipation and social media tools in Czech Republic were presented, including presentation about the Power of the Social Networks by Mr. Jiri Majstr, Deputy Director General, Czech Press Office (ČTK) and eParticipation & Online services in Czech municipalities by Jaroslav Šolc from Czech Association of Municipalities.

Innovative eParticipation and eDemocracy tools and services, including regional project VAŠ NÁZOR were presented and discussed with partners. The presentations and discussions were followed by introduction of the activities of Vysocina region and study visits to the regional authorities of Vysocina region and Municipality of Velke Mezirici.
