Baltic Environmental Forum Estonia

Objectives:
To promote environmental and nature protection in the Baltic States, facilitate environmental management and develop relevant skills of different agencies and stakeholders.

Areas:
Nature conservation, chemicals management, waste, water,
climate change, industrial pollution and GMO.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Nature conservation - to guarantee similar principles for nature conservation around the Baltic Sea
- Chemical management in Russia
- Hazardous waste management in countries around Baltic Sea
- Water protection
- GMO

Estonian Green Movement (Eesti Roheline Liikumine)


Objectives:

Estonian Green Movement-FoE has adopted the mission of responding to the regional environmental problems brought by the political and social changes, and to protect Estonian natural resources at the grassroot, national and international levels.

Areas:
The activities are carried out in the framework of 7 permanent working groups that concentrate on following issues: consumption, energy, atmosphere, forestry, transport, water, youth. In addition to permanent working groups, there are more specific projects such as assessing possible impacts of large-scale infrastructure investment projects by the EU and IFIs.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Protection of the Baltic Sea
- Petroleum transit
- Forestry
- Energy

Tartu Environmental Education Centre


Objectives:
To awake environmental sensitivity and interest to nature and to
promote responsible lifestyle.

Areas:
Environmental and nature education.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Develop teaching methodologies on environmental and nature education for children and adults
- Organise common nature camps
- Organise field trips and field work for youth
- Environmental information centre experience exchange

Objectives:
To promote sustainable development by providing integrated strategic management training and consultancy service to local administrations, businesses and education establishments.

Areas:
EIA and environmental management systems, elaborating development action plans, public involvement process development and moderation.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Regional development planning
- Environmental management systems
- Public participation

Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation (Peipsi CTC)


Objectives:
To promote sustainable development and cross-border cooperation
in the Lake Peipsi international water basin. 

Areas:
Public involvement in environmental decision-making, environmental information dissemination, water management planning.

- Water management
- Joint monitoring
- Tourism development
- Joint decision-making
- Environmental information dissemination

Vapramae-Vellavere-Vitipalu Foundation


Objectives:
Management of hiking trails and recreational sites in Vapramae, Elva-Vitipalu landscape protection area. Promote nature education in Elva recreational area.

Nature protection, restoring nature values.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Environmental education
- Management and budgeting of nature protection areas
- Eco-tourism

Lake Vortsjarv Foundation (Vortsjarve Sihtasutus)

Objectives:
To organize coordinated usage of means for the development of Lake Vortsjarv area, keeping in mind the interests and goals of the county and self-governments.

Areas:
Development and environmental projects, regional development activity, gather and analyze information about the Lake Vortsjarv area, development of cooperation with other organisations in Estonia and foreign countries.

Interested to cooperate in following areas:
- Nature education/camps (topic of lakes)
- Pollution of lakes
