New project "BSR InnoReg" approved under the EU BSR Programme
A new project "BSR InnoReg: Strengthening Innovation Governance in Baltic Non-metropolitan Regions through Transnational Cooperation" was approved by the Monitoring Committee of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 in October 2008. In total 24 projects were approved out of 110 project applications received in the 1st call of the BSR programme.
BSR InnoReg aims to develop competitive innovation environments in Baltic Sea Region non-metropolitan areas. The project partners include regional and local authorities and development organizations representing 19 organisations in 7 Baltic Sea Region countries. BSR InnoReg will be implemented during 2009-2011 with a total budget of approximately 2,4 million euros. The Baltic Institute of Finland is the Lead Partner of the project.
