14.06.2011 BIF Helsinki office opening, and joint meeting of BIF Board and Advisory Board

A joint meeting of the BIF Board and BIF Advisory Board was organized in Helsinki in Valkoinen Sali on Tuesday 14 June 2011. The strategy of the Baltic Institute of Finland and its further development, as well as topical issues of the Baltic Sea cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

The official opening and celebration of the newly established BIF Helsinki office was held after the joint meeting. The guests represented the City of Helsinki and other important Helsinki-based actors of the Baltic Sea cooperation. Mr. Timo Rajakangas, Ambassador for Baltic Sea Issues, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, together with a BIF Advisory Board member Eva-Riitta Siitonen and BIF Director Esa Kokkonen opened the ceremony.
