The second steering committee meeting of the eCitizen project was held in Tartu, Estonia 31 March 2006. The city of Tartu organized a whole day programme introducing on-going eGovernment activities for the eCitizen partners as well as members of the Union of Baltic Cities Information Society Commission. The steering committee meeting and a special Component 5 meeting were organized the second part of the day.
The project manager gave on overview of the second project progress reporting process and lessons learnt. Main project management and budgeting issues were discussed as well as the first outputs developed during the first year of project implementation. Project manager introduced the latest updated pages of the project Intranet and the project web-site where information on all the study tours and steering committee meetings are published with the key presentations made during the events. Partners were encouraged to publish information of their local project events, distribution material, press releases and other relevant information in the Intranet as well as share this information with the LP.
A promotion DVD film prepared by the city of Vaasa introducing the new Waasa smart services for citizens was showed to the steering committee. The film is the first output to distribute information about new e-services developed in the framework of the project. The film is available in the project web-site and moodle.
The next steering committee meeting was suggested to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, during a study tour for the project partners in October 2006.
