Component 4 "Development of Innovative eParticipation Applications" is lead by City of Sheffield as the responsible partner. Involved partners in this component are City of Tampere and City of Bologna. The strategic focus is to enhance democratic decision making and transparent basis for policy-making by improving opportunities for citizens to participate and interact with the local administration through innovative technology-based services.

The component meeting started with an introductory round, where each partner gave a short presentation on the on-going activities in their home cities.  The action plan for this component was looked through and some minor changes were made to the description of the component. Procedure on future work was agreed upon and the presentation for  the joint session was prepared.
