In the project, the task of Component 2 is "Development of Innovative eManagement Systems for City Administration". The component is lead by the City of Turku as a responsible partner and has as its involved partners City of Tampere, City of Vaasa, City of Trento, City of Kaunas and City of Vilnius.

The component strategic focus is to improve efficiency, transparency and quality of the management systems for city administrations focusing on developing electornic applications for internal procedures and services for citizens.

The component met for the first time in the kick-off and the meeting was hosted by Mr. Pentti Taskinen from the City of Turku. The component started its meeting with an introductory round. This was followed by a more detailed partner presentations on on-going and planned activities in the field of eGovernment. The partner activities were discussed in order to decide how the project could support their fulfilment. The joint activities in the component 2 were also looked into.

Description of the component 2 action plan was reviewed and some minor changes were made. The participants discussed whether a common goal can be found for this component.  It was agreed that all the members of this component will write descriptions of their city's current systems, so that it will be easier to make decisions on further actions. Expert consultants can be used by partners, if it is seen necessary.

The discussion will continue in the project's Moodle environment.
