The kick-off seminar of the EU/Interreg III C financed project "Challenge of eCitizen - Promoting eGovernment Action in European Cities" was organized 17-20 May in Tampere. The Lead Partner, the Baltic Institute of Finland, was in charge of preparations and organizing of the seminar. All the project partner cities with three representatives were invited to attend this event.
The meeting was designed to provide all the partners with instructions on project administrative and financing management as well as up-dated information on on-going eGovernment activities in the partner cities. The programme of the event was structured into joint meetings and component meetings. The idea was to review component descriptions based on the approved Application Form and the up-date partner Action Plans. In the joint meetings responsible partners of the components introduced results of the component meetings and preliminary schedule of joint activities.
Project partners will use Moodle project management environment as their internal tool for communication among component partners, between components as well as joint reporting and management information distribution. All the partner cities have also their own section for up-dating with material on on-going activites. Training for the Moodle environment was organized during the kick-off meeting.
